Who am I?

My name is Chris L. Butler and I am an award-winning poet and essayist originally from Philadelphia, PA living in Canada. I have been writing since I was eight years old. In 2012, I became a blogger. It needed to happen because it got me wondering if I could write professionally.

Fast forward to 2017, and I had a developed community blog/magazine called The Millennial Gazette, which ran until 2020. In 2021, I published two chapbooks, BLERD: ‘80s BABY, ‘90s KID, and Sacrilegious: Poems & Prose.

If you want to know more about who the hell I am, you can follow me on Twitter, or check out my website.

Now let’s discuss why I’m on substack: I believe we are amidst a blogging revolution through this platform specifically. My goal is to produce content on the writing life, share works in progress, and reflect on artistic inspiration.

Join me doing this through text, audio, video, and more. This is Sports Now & Then with Chris L. Butler.
